Lumx's integration with Stellar is live in production. As of August 4, institutions using our infrastructure, banks, fintechs, and payment providers, can access an operational BRL-USDC corridor on the Stellar network, with on- and off-ramp services connecting Brazilian reais to USDC.
Why this corridor matters
Brazil has seen rapid growth in digital payments and stablecoin adoption. Yet institutional cross-border settlement between Brazil and global markets remains slower, more expensive, and less transparent than it should be.
The BRL-USDC corridor addresses this directly: it combines Brazil's instant payment rails with the speed, low cost, and reliability of settlement on the Stellar network, an open-source network designed to connect the world's financial infrastructure.
How it works
Through Lumx's payment orchestration platform, institutions can move between BRL and USDC on Stellar without building blockchain infrastructure themselves. Our platform handles the on- and off-ramps, compliance layer, and connectivity to local payment rails, so clients integrate once and settle in seconds.
As part of the launch, liquidity partners have committed to using Lumx's infrastructure to provide ramp services on Stellar, supporting liquidity for the corridor from day one.
"Brazil has world-class payment rails and a highly active stablecoin market. By connecting our infrastructure to Stellar, we're giving institutions a production-ready corridor between BRL and USDC — with the low-cost, near-instant settlement the Stellar network was built for, and the compliance and reliability our clients require,"
Caio Barbosa, Founder and Co-CEO of Lumx.
